Today we I went on the 6:30 morning swim and it was so nice. I wasn't really planning on it, but those darn seagulls were being so freakin' loud that I went out just to escape them. I'm so glad I went! I never regret going, it's just hard to get out of bed and into the cold(ish) ocean. We saw a pufferfish, swordfish, an eel, and a turtle, so it was a pretty good day.
Our research group (Shark Bae :) finished our lab report and created our presentation, so we're ready to give an A+, top notch presentation tomorrow!
Edd and Trisha are giving a pretty awesome Heron Island water bottle to the two people who pick up the most and the heaviest trash from the island. I want that bottle, so Carly and I walked around the island picking up anything we could find. It's crazy how much we found on a tiny island!

Not from tonight, but watching the sunset
Just Collecting Some Junk
The snorkel this evening was stupendous. We got to take the go pros out, and I think I may have actually taken some videos worth keeping! I got to swim super close to a few sea turtles, and I saw a white tip reef shark (for the first time, yay!). The water wasn't super cold and it wasn't very windy, so I was actually able to focus on having fun and enjoying the moment instead of envisioning the post-swim hot shower.
Please enjoy this slideshow of me falling while trying to pose. I'm sometimes terrible at standing.
