Today has been research paper constructing, upon research paper constructing! We've all been working so hard and somewhat dilligent on our papers! It has been super windy for the past couple of days, which is nice for the writing we've had to do, but Kim and I were getting the wiggles and had to get out and walk around the island for a bit. We were halfway around the island to Shark Bay when the wind was really picking up and was sand blasting our uncovered legs. We ended up taking a detour through the jungle of the island and I watched Kim climb a tree in flip flops...impressive!
Shortly after we returned to our computer lab to attempt to finish our paper, but alas we were stopped by the snorkel adventure that was ahead of us! Well worth it! We swam out into the choppy waters and saw some amazing coral structures and coral life today! I wish I could capture the brilliant colors and textures, but it never does it justice...unless I had a really nice camera. Since doing our research project on clams, I kept noticing all the giant clams in the water now, and I have to say they really are one of my favorite things to see in the coral reefs. It was still nice to get out and relieve our wiggles, but it was pretty chilly after getting out of the water with the wind so we hustled our butts back to get dressed into something warmer. This is the first time out of the trip that I had to put pants on! We've been in the computer lab all day listening to music and having a mini dance session to help with the research projects...but we are almost finished...thank god! Love everyone here so much! Can't wait to see everyone's projects they've come up with
